Little Black Dress

wow

The little black dress has been a staple in women’s wardrobes for decades, beginning in 1926 when designer Coco Chanel introduced a short, simple black dress to readers of Vogue Magazine.

Fast forward to 1961: That’s when actress Audrey Hepburn took the little black dress to new heights when her Holly Golightly character wore a sexy little black sheath in the hit movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

The little black dress has become such a fashion icon that it’s now referred to simply as the ‘LBD’.

  1. The psychology of colour:

The color black is a very brooding, dark color but it conveys a very strong message. Psychologically speaking people who see others in black view them as authoritative and as someone in a position of power.

  2. The little black dress is super hot. I like to pair mine with some bold-colored pumps, like gold or red. Anything that sparkles is good for me.

  3. A little white dress can go a long way too. I have a solid black and a solid white… the contrasts are beautiful. I prefer the black right now, but the white is stunning if worn right.
